Fillers

Enhance definition, balance facial proportions and refine your profile

Dermal fillers are soft HA gels that integrate with your tissue to add lift, definition and hydration. From subtle rejuvenation to more defined sculpting, your plan is tailored to your features so results look effortless and in harmony with the rest of your face.

At TE Clinic South London (Traitements Esthetiques), our hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers restore volume, refine contours and smooth lines for a refreshed, natural look. The Treatment Process

  1. We assess your facial structure, goals and medical history; photography may assist mapping.
  2. Topical numbing and gentle technique to maximise comfort.
  3. HA filler is placed with a fine needle and/or micro-cannula to build lift and contour safely.
  4. We check symmetry in rest and expression, then share tailored aftercare.
  5. An optional follow-up ensures you’re happy and allows for minor tweaks if needed.

Aftercare

  • Expect mild swelling, tenderness or bruising for 24–72 hours.
  • Use cool compresses intermittently on day one.
  • Avoid makeup over treated areas for 24 hours; keep skin clean.
  • Skip alcohol, strenuous exercise, saunas/steam for 24–48 hours.
  • Do not massage the cheeks unless advised; sleep slightly elevated the first night.
  • Avoid facials and dental procedures for ~2 weeks where possible.
  • Contact the clinic urgently if you experience increasing pain, blanching, mottling or any symptoms that worry you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the potential side effects?

Common side effects include redness, swelling, tenderness, small lumps/bumps or temporary asymmetry, usually resolve in days. Less common side effects include infection, prolonged swelling, delayed nodules. Rare side effects include vascular occlusion (reduced blood supply). Our medical team is trained to recognise and manage complications promptly; don’t worry, HA fillers can be dissolved if required.

How long do dermal fillers last?

Typically 6–18 months, depending on the area treated, product choice, placement, metabolism and lifestyle. Many clients choose small maintenance top-ups to keep results consistent.

What’s the difference between dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections?

Fillers add volume and contour (e.g., lips, cheeks, chin, folds). Anti-wrinkle injections relax specific muscles to soften expression lines (e.g., frown, forehead, crow’s feet). They can be used alone or together for comprehensive yet natural rejuvenation.
